REEF Program Members
Return to Efficient Function
The United States Rescue REEF Program is designed to provide assistance to veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to either combat-related events, sexual assault, abuse incurred with serving in the United States Armed Forces, post-service homelessness, Department of Veterans Affairs Claims mentoring, and other services.
Our REEF Mentors are hand-selected by their peers in the program. Mentors have demonstrated their abilities to overcome their symptoms by using recovery tools obtained through intensive outpatient programs, support groups, dedication, and hard work. REEF Mentors are assigned no more than five REEF Peer in their local area. Membership to United States Rescue is not required for REEF Peers to participate.
Rescue Volunteer Members
Become a U.S. Rescue Member | No Experience Necessary
Members conduct rescue operations, rescue support operations, or perform in a rescue service support capacity, all based on their individual capabilities, goals, and availability. Once a new member has been processed, the member is placed on a roster for their local area officials to request and mobilize from. U.S. Rescue Teams consist of a Team Leader and four search members.
Beyond induction training, volunteer members are assigned to a unit based on their availability and begin their operational familiarization and specialized training. Members with mission essential skills related to land (EMT’s, prior service, etc.,) sea (divers, boat owners, etc.,) and air (pilots, aircraft owners, etc.,) may receive advanced placement and immediately begin offsetting vacancies in their communities with USR, Inc.
